Our community radio station,
89.7 SUNFM runs an entertaining 30 - hour live radio - thon at the outdoor square at Duncan City Hall, all in support of our community hospital. Over the past four years the
SUNATHON has raised over $125,000 to help the Foundation fund: an Ultrasound machine (2005), facility improvements at Cairnsmore Place (2006), a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit bed (2007) and in June 2008 a Giraffe Omni bed for our Maternity Ward. This latest equipment is a high tech platform bed by GE Medical, designed to provide a nurturing, life-sustaining environment to
help at risk newborns grow and get healthy so they may go home with their families as quickly as possible.
